About

A calming vocalist with a strong pen, songs by Olivia Reid rest well within the soul, with tempos mirroring the pace of a steady heartbeat, and lyrics that articulate the most intimate parts of the human experience. Her production style blends indie acoustics with exploratory electronic pop soundscapes, landing listeners in a visceral sonic world and establishing her as a budding producer and engineer.

As an avid collaborator, Reid has connected with audiences around the world via collaborations such as "Time is Mine" with Kidswaste, "What You Came Here For” with Jae Luna, and “Above the Clouds” with SŸDE - and has opened for artists such as Slenderbodies, Justin Jesso, and Giant Rooks. Also an avid creative, Reid is constantly exploring new ideas in innovation technology, education, screenwriting, and podcasting - notably hosting the Spotify for Artists and Noteable series entitled, Song Start. There, Reid brought her multifaceted approach to production, songwriting, and human creativity to the table, in conversations with the likes of Sam Smith, Victoria Monét, Take a Daytrip and Hayley Williams of Paramore

Olivia Reid’s debut EP Earth Water hit streaming platforms in 2021, followed by TO BE NAMED BY THE PEOPLE in fall of 2023.  Fueled by deeply personal lyrics and boundary-pushing production, TO BE NAMED BY THE PEOPLE conceptually detailed an artist's slow descent into madness, unpacking the most incomprehensible emotions of the human experience. With a sound that Wonderland calls “mesmerizing and addictive” and Earmilk raves as “cinematic…a complexity of evocative pop sounds that's unlike any other music coming out”, the new EP has ushered in a new era of music from Olivia Reid.

In winter of 2024, Reid kicked off a new project titled Space to Roam written while traveling in the Poland countryside. Echoing the calm surroundings of her travels, the forthcoming EP welcomes a folk-inspired collection of soft songs for the soul. While participating in an artist residency alongside partner Kanon Sapp (artistic director of LOOSE KANON DANCE) and traveling with just an acoustic guitar, mic and interface set-up, Olivia wrote many of the songs on a guitar in the gardens. Though Olivia’s unique sound is often inspired by electronic sounds, the return to a simpler way of writing and a focus on acoustic, organic sounds creates a project inspired by the environment, making way for some of her most intimate songs to date.

The EP touts Olivia’s recognizable new-wave, organic production style alongside friends and co-producers Tim Atlas, So Wylie and Benji Cormack of Slenderbodies. The project has already found new global love on playlists such as Spotify’s Fresh Finds and Noteable, Apple Music’s Pop Latte and Breakfast in Bed, and Tidal’s Folk: Rising, and featuring critic nods from Earmilk, Ones to Watch, and Atwood Magazine.

The project included singles “Love Don’t Leave” and “Quite Simple”, followed by “All in Time” and title track “Space to Roam” — streaming now. Pre-save the extended Space to Roam EP available on all platforms September 5, 2025.
